Alpe d’Huez Triathlon

We‘re the world‘s leading cancer charity dedicated to saving and improving lives through research. We fund research into the prevention, detection and treatment of more than 200 types of cancer through the work of over 4,000 scientists, doctors and nurses.

Story

On 25th July I’ll be racing in the Alpe d’Huez long distance triathlon. If you’ve not done it, it’s a 2.2km swim, followed by a 118km bike (climbing approx 3200m of French mountains including the famous Alpe d’Huez), and finishing with a 20km run on the top of the mountain.

Having raced the Alpe d’Huez triathlon a couple of times before and been fortunate to have raised money for some great charities close to us, this year provides another opportunity to help another charity.

In the time since I last raced in 2019, there’s been a few people close to us that have had to go on their own personal journeys to beat off Cancer so we will be doing this one to raise money for Cancer Research UK.

To face cancer takes determination, grit, luck, belief and a whole lot of medicine. Hopefully a little money from us can help along the way to make that medicine as potent as possible.

Thanks in advance for any donations
