National 3 peaks challenge · 26 May 2025

We’re leading the fight for a future where all young minds are supported and empowered, whatever the challenges. We’re here to make sure children and young people get the best possible mental health support and have the resilience to overcome life’s difficulties. Join our fight.

Story

We are Teachers on Detour—a team of teachers who all work at TC and love a challenge! On 24th May, we are taking on the National Three Peaks Challenge, aiming to climb Ben Nevis (Scotland), Scafell Pike (England) and Snowdon (Wales) within 24 hours. We are doing this to raise money for YoungMinds Trust, a charity that supports young people’s mental health.

Now, why YoungMinds? This amazing charity is on a mission to make sure every young person gets the mental health support they need, when they need it—no matter what. As teachers, we see every day how important mental well-being is for children and young people. A happy mind helps them learn, grow, and tackle life’s challenges. YoungMinds is working towards a world where no young person feels alone with their mental health, and we couldn’t think of a better cause to support! Their goal is to stop young people’s mental health from reaching a crisis point—and we’re here to help them do just that.

Now, we need your support! Climbing three mountains in 24 hours is no easy task but knowing we’re making a difference will keep us going. Every donation, big or small, will help YoungMinds continue their vital work, supporting young people when they need it most. So please, cheer us on, spread the word, and if you can, donate to our cause. Together, we can make sure no young person faces their mental health struggles alone. Let’s do this!
