On 10 September 2026, members of Avalon Planning and Heritage will be taking part in the Michelmores 5k Charity Run, in aid of Hospiscare. This means training hard and taking steps to make a difference. The awards for this race are always hotly contested and 5k isn’t easy – but if we can help make things a little easier for those facing a terminal illness or the death of a loved one, that’s what we're going to do!

Hospiscare is a local charity, caring for terminally ill patients and their families across Exeter, Mid and East Devon. Their teams of doctors and nurses offer specialist palliative care, to ensure that patients can make the most of the time they have left.

Hospiscare are a vital part of the local healthcare system and we want to help ensure Hospiscare can continue to be there for the community now and in the future.
