Why are we doing this??

In Year 1, when we were only 5 and 6 years old, our classmate Haisam was diagnosed with a brain tumour. He missed a lot of school … and when he visited he couldn’t run around and was very tired. He had to have big operations, chemotherapy and radiotherapy. We didn’t really understand it all at the time, but we knew he was very poorly.

Now we are going into Year 5 - and because of amazing research into brain tumour treatment, Haisam is still the same kind, funny friend, learning and playing with us .. and he is running the mini marathon with us!

We can’t wait to take on this challenge! We want to raise as much as we can to help other children like Haisam and their families.
