Team B's fundraiser for Yorkshire Ambulance Service Charity

Team Butterworth is raising money for Yorkshire Ambulance Service Charity

Walking the Yorkshire 3 Peaks for the YAS Charity · 13 September 2025

Our Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge is back for 2025. Tackle the 24 mile route with 5000ft of ascent in under 12 hours. Help us to raise funds to support our YAS Colleagues and Volunteers and Yorkshire communities.

Story

Team Butterworth are;

Simon - Quality, Governance and Assurance Manager, A&E Operations, Humber and North Yorkshire

Lesley - Head of Nursing and Patient Experience

Sam - School leaver with aspirations to join the Police after college

(and not to forget Mac who is too young this year but is supporting our efforts by helping with baking trail bars)

Simon has completed the Yorkshire 3 Peaks challenge four times previously and holds the YAS record for the route at 7hrs 40 minutes. This year having always saying she would never do it, he is joined by wife Lesley and 16 year old son Sam.

We are in the midst of training and have recently done walks to Captain Cooks Monument/Roseberry topping, longer routes in Teesdale and during half term (and mid GCSEs for Sam) climbed Pen-y-Ghent. We are planning on also completing Whernside and Inglebrough as individual walks before the big day.

Please help us to continue to support projects across Yorkshire and The Humber with our aims to:

Engage Communities

Support Colleagues and Volunteers

Save Lives
