"Comfort is Key". This is my motto when it comes to clothing. Wearing trackies, a hoody and a pair of Crocs to work just makes the day better. Elasticated waistband trousers and a baggy t-shirt, in my mind, is always suitable attire for any occasion.
However family, friends, work colleagues and even occasionally random people I’ve never met before seem to disagree. Sometimes quite aggressively.
For the month of March, in the name of charity, I will pander to the vanity of society and dress for work like a “respectable person and not a tramp”. I will be wearing a full suit to work for the month, shoes n all.
This may not be a physically painful marathon which some people put themselves through, but rest assured, this will be a painful challenge for me.
All donations are hugely appreciated.
About Haven House: Haven House Children’s Hospice cares for seriously ill babies and children (up to the age of 18) by creating a loving and warm environment for them and their families while they go through the toughest of times. No family should have to face alone the difficulties of looking after a child with a serious illness. Haven House provides round the clock care at our hospice, surrounded in beautiful grounds and woodland, in Woodford Green and through our outreach services in the home and local community.
