Story
In January 2025, Mandy Cooper lost her battle with a terminal brain tumour, having also fought Multiple Sclerosis for 38 years. Mandy was courageous, fiercely determined and had great mental strength. But her compassion for others shone through above all else, and even in the latter weeks of her life she continued to think of others before herself. Mandy truly was an inspiration to everyone around her and is missed every day by her family ❤️
Mandy spent a week in Saint Michael’s hospice at the end of her life, with her family by her side for the duration. The incredible team at Saint Michael’s could not have done more to care for Mandy and give her the dignity she deserved during this week, whilst also supporting the family.
This fundraising page in Mandy’s memory, is for one big year of events:
1) Lewis, Hannah & Will took on the Great North Run in September 2025;
2) Hannah completed the London Marathon in April 2026 hitting her sub 3:30 target time; and
3) Hannah is taking on a 5 day trek across the Sahara in September 2026.
Any donation, great or small, will help Saint Michael's support local families living with terminal illness and bereavement across the Harrogate district. Thank you for your support.
