Feed Up Warm Up is a North Hertfordshire based charity supporting those who are homeless and those at risk of homelessness. We operate 2 weekly drop in centres in Hitchin and Stevenage where anybody is welcome to come and spend the evening with us. We offer live music, counselling services, a hot meal, free haircuts, food parcels, addiction advice and a warm welcoming smile and a chat. We support on average 100 guests a week between both drop in services. We also have an outreach team who respond to local referrals from other charities and agencies. During the pandemic we have reached out to local struggling families who have been directly impacted by the pandemic by delivering weekly food parcels and other support services. Through this particular service we have made up and delivered over 2600 food parcels which equates to 11,000 individuals since April 2020. We are funded purely by donations from kind members of the public and local businesses. Our belief is that all people should be treated with dignity, respect, kindness, equality and included in the local community.

Story

Team Crackers rides again!

Last year we competed in the first Hitchin Soapbox Derby and raised £1,500 for local schools. This year we’re taking it up a notch and competing in the Red Bull Soapbox in London, where we’ll be rattling down the hill in a giant football to celebrate the world cup!

This year we’re raising money for two local charities that do great work for our community:

Feed Up Warm Up: a charity that works in Hertfordshire to provide a safe, welcoming space for the homeless, as well as doing direct outreach in the community.

Garden House Hospice Care: a local charity providing free, compassionate palliative care and support to patients and their families affected by life-limiting illnesses and long-term conditions.

Please donate whatever you can, and come cheer us on on the day!
