Story
Why would we choose to run across one of the driest, harshest, and most unforgiving places on Earth? Because sometimes you have to do something extraordinary to make an extraordinary difference. This November, we will be pushing ourselves to our physical and mental limits in the Atacama Desert, taking on extreme temperatures, altitude and exhaustion. But every difficult kilometre will have a purpose: raising money for a charity incredibly close to our hearts, founded to help transform the lives of impoverished children in Nepal. The mission is built around three fundamental rights: education, health, and freedom. Through educational and vocational scholarships, access to healthcare, and opportunities that would otherwise be out of reach, the Nepal Youth Foundation helps children escape the limitations of poverty and build brighter, more independent futures. We will be choosing to endure hardship for a few days. The children we support don’t get to choose the challenges they face every day. If our journey across the desert can help change even one child’s journey through life, every single step will be worth it.
