Alzheimer’s Research UK is the UK’s leading dementia research charity. We’re striving for a cure, by revolutionising the way we treat, diagnose and prevent dementia.

Story

Every 3 minutes dementia steals a happily ever after. Research is our only chance of changing the ending for people affected by dementia.

Some of you may have had the pleasure of meeting my wonderful Granny Barbara. She was a incredible woman and role model for me growing up. I was lucky to know her before the dementia started, I’ll never forget her quick wit, immense work ethic and open heart. It was a heartbreaking journey for so many of our family to see this disease take over her and ultimately take her away from us far too soon.

This is a charity very close to my heart as well as a few of us also running at Team DOAC, so we'd love as much money to go towards the UK's leading dementia research charity.

Anything would be greatly appreciated. I’ve never done a marathon before so this will be a big test for my mind! I hope to make Granny proud and I’ll be thinking of her as I go around.

Your donation will help scientists and researchers find new ways to diagnose dementia, develop new treatments and find a cure for dementia.

Thanks legends and hopefully see some faces to egg me on 🤪🫡💙
