Hospice of the Good Shepherd supports patients in Chester, Cheshire West, Ellesmere Port and Deeside who are facing a life-limiting illness.

The Hospice's AMAZING & dedicated team of staff and healthcare professionals aim to meet the unique physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs of those with a life-limiting illness, and help to maintain their dignity.

Not only this, but the Hospice of the Good Shepherd provides its services FREE OF CHARGE to all its patients and costs £5.2million to run each year; with just 17% of the funding received coming from statutory sources. The remaining 83% is raised from a range of fundraising events such as Foamtastic Colour Blast and the support of the generous, local community.

As a family, we have been fortunate to have received support for those we love in their final weeks and months from our local hospice as well as seeing how their community support services reach beyond the wards and immediate patients to help those around the patient too. Enabling family members to care for loved ones at home and come to terms with tragic loss through bereavement support.
