My dear friend and colleague Mr Kan and I are taking part in the Oxford Half again this year as a two-man 'TEAM EUROPA' to raise money for the OXFORD HOSPITALS CHARITY!

We will be raising money for this amazing charity, which has been very close to my heart since my twins were born in 2008, in memory of Gethin, who died in 2022.

Gethin was my lovely 14 year old son, twin brother to Iestyn and proud big brother to Lilidh and Oshie. After a short illness and a three week stay in the Children's Hospital, despite all the amazing care and treatment that Gethin received, he died at the beginning of December due to complications from his shunt operation in early November and the effect these had on his heart and lungs.

From the time the twins were born, my family and friends have been raising money for the Children's hospital in gratitude for the amazing care they were given in their early lives in SCBU. Since Gethin died, our fundraising has paid for a specialist paediatric heart probe which has already been well used in the hospital. Our fundraising now helps to fund a bereavement support key worker to help support and guide families following the loss of a child, a cause that is very close to our hearts.
