Every year in the UK, 2,400 children and young people (up to the age of 18) are diagnosed with cancer. Survival rates are increasing but 2 out of 3 survivors will have a long-term side effect related to their cancer treatment impacting them in the future.

Staying active is vital as part of their treatment and recovery as it helps to combat negative side effects while boosting physical health and mental wellbeing.

Cyclist Fighting Cancer do amazing work by giving new lightweight bikes and trikes to these young people and supporting them to get outside and get active, as well as having some much-needed fun!

Hiplok recently started supporting CFC and as our next fundraiser Stuart and Ben are taking on what will be a significant challenge for them both – cycling 200km off road in one day…

Starting at 6am, they have 15 hours to cover the 200km through the rugged Dark Peak and then the more flowing gravel trails in the White Peak. This ride takes them into the heart of the Peak District with a great deal of challenging and varied terrain. Hopefully the stunning views will keep them going through a (very) long day in the saddle, if they can remember to look up and enjoy them that is!
