Matt and Craig’s Story
We’re taking on the toughest physical challenge of our lives: the Cape Epic mountain bike stage race.
Often described as one of the world’s most brutal and “untamed” mountain bike races, the Cape Epic will see us ride more than 700km over 8 days across South Africa. We’ll face extreme and unpredictable weather, relentless climbs, and demanding, often treacherous terrain. It’s a true test of endurance, resilience and teamwork!
But this challenge is about far more than the physical and mental battle.
We’re riding to raise awareness and funds for Bowel Cancer UK, a charity that is close to our hearts. Matt’s brother sadly lost his battle with bowel cancer a few years ago. In his honour, we’ve chosen to dedicate every mile of this journey to supporting the vital work Bowel Cancer UK does to improve awareness, promote early diagnosis, and increase survival rates.
Every training ride. Every early morning. Every tough kilometre of the race. We’ll be riding with purpose.
We’re asking for your support as we take on this challenge together. Whether you’re able to donate or simply share our page, it would mean a huge amount to us, and it will help Bowel Cancer UK continue their life-saving work.
Thank you for being part of our journey.
