On 26th April 2026, Team Neurodasher (a.k.a David, Steve, Kerryn & Amy) are running the 2026 TCS London Marathon for Brain Research UK!

We are running in memory of David & Steve’s mum, Sue Grabham. In 2018, Sue passed away after a heartbreaking battle with a stage 4 glioblastoma – an aggressive and devastating brain tumour. She was diagnosed just 12 months before she died, and for most of that time—7 to 8 months—she was bedbound and incapacitated.

Watching someone so full of life, who loved nothing more than simply enjoying it, lose her ability to do so was incredibly hard.

We are proud to run in memory of Sue, and on behalf of Brain Research UK to raise money, awareness, and hope for those going through what Sue and her friends and family went through.

Brain Research UK is the UKs leading national funder dedicated to research into neurological conditions. The charity fund vital research to increase understanding, improve diagnosis and treatment, and work towards the prevention of neurological conditions, to help people who suffer with them live better, longer.

Their funding is currently focused on three priority research areas: Brain Tumours, Brain and Spinal Cord Injury, and Headache and Facial Pain. These are areas where there is a large unmet patient need that is not reflected in current funding levels. By concentrating their efforts on these three areas, our support can have a more significant impact.
