At the end of April 2025, my cousins Dean and Bruce and I are running the Manchester Marathon for The Christie Charity. The Christie is a leading Cancer treatment centre with a hospital located in Manchester; lucky to be so close to home.

Cancer is a topic that is very close to our family, with both my Mum and my Dad, Janet and Jeff, receiving treatment from The Christie Hospital in Manchester. Unfortunately, my Mum passed away from Cancer in 2011, but received amazing treatment and care from the Christie's. My Dad is currently receiving treatment at the Christie, and they have been fantastic in their treatments and care for him. We have had positive results since his treatment began and are grateful to the Christie for their support through this time.

Not only have both my parents been treated at the Christie, but close friends and other family members have, too. It is a deeply personal charity to me, my family, and close friends, as well as many others. My cousins and I are now aiming to support and give back to the Christie by running the Manchester Marathon in April, and we hope to raise as much money as possible to support other families who have to, unfortunately, share our experiences.
