Story
We are taking part in the Samworth Charity Challenge on May 16 2026 to raise funds for the Peak District Foundation. We are:
- Roisin Joyce, Director, Peak District Foundation
- Andy Robinson, Trustee, Peak District Foundation
- Steve Turner, former Trustee, Peak District Foundation
- Nick Baker, Ranger, Peak District National Park Authority
This event is not just a 10-hour triathlon (running/walking, mountain biking and kayaking), but is also an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on our much-loved area.
The Peak District means so much to so many, but it faces numerous challenges that threaten its beauty and ecological balance. By supporting this cause, we can plant more trees, restore vital moorlands, and foster connections between people and nature. It is essential that we cultivate a sense of stewardship for our environment so that future generations can enjoy it.
Please consider donating to help us reach our fundraising target - any donation of any size helps! Your generous contributions will directly aid in these vital conservation efforts.
Once you donate, your money goes directly to the charity, ensuring that every penny counts towards making a difference. Together, we can create a brighter future for the Peak District National Park.
Note: The Peak District Foundation is the charity partner of the Samworth Charity Challenge in 2026 so as well as the funds we raise here, we will also be receiving a generous donation from the company to give back to the area in which the event is happening.
