Story
Hi everyone!
On 7th June, I’m taking part in the Tough Mudder 15km, and my amazing kids couldn't let me suffer alone, as they are also taking part in the 1km Tough Mudder challenge to show their support and help raise awareness and funds for a cause that is close to our heart's – the Paisley Diocese Youth Commission.
This incredible group supports young people in our community, providing them with opportunities for growth, faith, and community involvement, but don't just take my word for it as Father Ryan Black, the Vicar Episcopal for Youth in Paisley Diocese has said a few words about their work:
"On behalf of the young people we serve, the Youth Commission is so grateful to Michael, Chloe and Joseph for volunteering for Tough Mudder to raise funds.
The Youth Commission is responsible for fostering the faith and developing friendships among the young people of the Diocese of Paisley (aged 5-35), spanning Inverclyde, Renfrewshire and East Renfrewshire.
It does this through a number of initiatives including regular retreats, monthly opportunities for catechesis and socialising, and annual pilgrimages.
Of course, there are costs associated with each initiative, so the commitment to raise much needed funds from Michael and his young children is so gratefully appreciated."
We’re hoping to raise as much as we can to help support the events offered by the Youth Commission, as all the events are run by volunteers and are completely free for the youth in our Diocese to attend. Your donation will go directly towards enabling the group to run events and potentially do even more for our community to make a lasting impact.
Please consider donating, no matter how big or small – every contribution helps and is truly appreciated.
