Team SNAFU consists of 2 Household Cavalry Veterans; Alex Gaddes and Paul Halfhide who, between them have accumulated nearly 60 years of service. Traditionally they are joined by a "Guest Rider" so this year, our 9th Rally, we are delighted to confirm we will be welcoming Mr Pete Storer to the crew, taking our joint accumulated service to over 80 years!

We are taking-on the challenge of the 2024 Household Cavalry Banger Car Rally in support of the Royal British Legion. Starting in Portsmouth, we will meet-up with 18 other teams before crossing the English Channel to hit the beaches of Normandy at 1st light on Friday 26th April treading in the footsteps of our glorious forefathers on D-Day nearly 80 years ago

The plan is to complete various tasks and challenges over the weekend whilst visiting many sites of historical military significance and remembering all those that sadly didn't make-it home before an evening of prize giving and a little merriment then returning home on Sunday 28th

We are a self-funding group so all the costs of acquiring suitable cars, their maintenance, fuel and competing are our all own but we do not ask for your money, rather we ask you kindly support us by donating any amount however small; to this fantastic charity that provide vital services for the Armed Forces community, serving and ex-serving personnel and their families please?
