We build electric eco-fences in Africa to protect Africa's threatened ecosystems

Story

For the 21st year in 2024, our team will be entering the Rhino Charge and our pledge is to raise £10,000 for this amazing charity. Everything you contribute goes straight to Rhino Ark and all our expenses of getting to the event, preparing and maintaining the car we cover ourselves.

We have raised over Kshs 20 million over the years and we are still going strong! Help us to raise another Kshs 2 million please!

You ask why Rhino Ark? Because the money is spent wisely but also because it does the following:

- protects Kenya's water catchments through fencing and community engagement

- reduces human wildlife conflict because wild animals continue to live in these forests that are being fenced. This includes elephant, buffalo and many predators too

- prevents illegal logging of the forests by creating the barrier of the fence

- significantly helping the neighbouring farmers by protecting their crops from animal damage

- contributing to various funds to help endangered species such as the Bongo.

Thank you!

Rhino Ark raises money for the building of electric eco-fences around mountain ecosystems in Kenya, namely Aberdare National Park, Mt. Kenya and Mau Eburu. These provide an "ark" for wildlife such as rhino, leopard, elephant and mountain bongo as well as protecting vital upland watertables of Kenya
