Story
Every year the ZOV team look to do a fundraising event for ZOV, so here it is Charlotte is going to do 100km on her Peloton in 48 hours.
ZOV supports around 300 disadvantaged children in Bulgaria, many of whom are growing up in institutional care. Approximately half of the children we support have special needs conditions ranging from mild to severe.
We used to do an annual wine tasting event, instead we have chosen this year to undertake our own challenges to help raise money.
At the end of March, I will do a 100km bike ride on my Peloton to raise money for ZOV.
ZOV works with some of the most disadvantaged children in Bulgaria and includes, weekly mentoring and education support, lifeskills, work experience, trips and summer holidays, Christmas presents and parties.
As well as music, dance, sports and English lessons. Children with additional needs get specialised help with therapists. Where necessary, we continue to support some of the children even after they leave care to try and make sure they go onto lead happy and stable lives.
We have won 19 awards to date for our work and continue to strive to improve the lives of many children.
