Story
Club Triumph have staged the Round Britain Reliability Run every couple of years since 1966. The event covers approximately 1900 miles (3000 km) in 48 hours. This year´s event starts at Knebworth House on the evening of Friday 3rd October returning there on Sunday evening, 5th October, having visited John O´Groats for breakfast on Saturday morning, Lands End on Sunday morning and numerous control check points along the way.
Around 100 Triumph cars will take part, the youngest of which will be over 40 years old! All teams will be raising funds in aid of a very worthwhile cause: Parkinson´s UK. Most of us will know someone whose life is, or has been, impacted by Parkinson´s: let´s try and make a difference with the funds we raise!
As “KSB Night Riders”, John Bell and Steffen Guelcher will be taking part in John´s 1971 TR6. Having worked successfully together on a number of projects for KSB over many years, including a major wastewater infrastructure project in the UK, we thought we´d apply our project management skills to this challenge. We´ve already gained some experience taking part in a couple of nighttime navigational rallies starting in the Netherlands and John´s completed three Club Triumph “Coast to Coast” overnight drives with a different co-driver. This, however, will be Steffen´s first experience driving on the opposite side of the road! For increased “creature comfort” we´ll probably put the hardtop on.
Parkinson's UK is the charity that’s here to support every Parkinson’s journey, every step of the way.
We don’t wait for change, we make it happen. Campaigning for better health and care. Funding research into groundbreaking new treatments. Running life-changing support services.
We’re a powerful community united by one mission: improving life with Parkinson’s.
