Story
In April 2026 we will be running The London Marathon in memory of a lifelong family friend Adam Dilley.
We are so overwhelmed to have been chosen to run for Brain Tumour Research. This is going to be a massive achievement for us, but together we will get to the finish line and on the way raise money for a charity who fights everyday to find a cure.
In October 2021 just weeks away from becoming a dad Adam was diagnosed with a glioblastoma, a highly aggressive form of brain cancer. He underwent brain surgery followed by radio and chemotherapy. With a regrowth returning in 2024, another operation and more chemotherapy Adam carried on the fight of his life.
He became a hero to his wonderful family and friends with his strength and courage. Wendy, Mark, Graeme, Fran, Tasha, Alfie, Luca, Emilia, Sally, Goughy, Jake and many others you have been to most incredible support network through such awful pain.
The fight become harder and harder and Adam was taken to St Johns Hospice in Moggerhanger to spend the last few weeks of his life.
On Sunday 10th August 2025 Adam passed away surrounded by his loved ones.
We are truly heartbroken by the loss of Adam and hope to raise as much money as possible.
Brain tumours kill more children and adults under 40 than any other cancer with only 1% of the national spend of cancer research going to brain tumour research, we need funds for this to change.
It costs £2,740 per day to fund research in an effort to find better treatment and a potential cure for this most underfunded of cancers.
Please, please give everything you can to get us to our £8,500 target. Thats over 3 days of research to help find a cure.
Every ache and pain will never be as close as the pain of losing such an incredible and inspirational person.
Adam, this is for you 💙
