Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I wanted to take on a challenge not just to raise funds, but to challenge myself in memory of my mum. I now have a wonderful group to walk with (thank you Elie, Jamie & Helen for joining me)- I know I will need their support and encouragement and I know they have all had to deal with cancer one way or another as well.

We will be walking just shy of 50km on 22nd June '25 and raising money for Cancer Research UK.

This is the reason for choosing this charity:

My mum fought breast cancer for the first time 20 years ago. Having gone through, a grueling treatment plan, she beat it. 10 years later it came back, and for the second time she fought hard and won.

In August 2024 she was then taken ill and for what seemed like forever she got a diagnosis of Metastatic Lung Cancer, and was given just months to live. We were lucky enough to have been by her side to say goodbye on 11th September 2024.
