Story
Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a genetic condition which causes sticky mucus to build up in the lungs and digestive system. It affects more than 10,800 people in the UK. One in 25 of us carries the faulty gene that causes it, usually without knowing.
Cystic fibrosis comes with challenges, affecting our physical health, mental wellbeing and how we choose to live our lives. But our community is uniting towards the ultimate goal of effective treatment for all.
Cystic Fibrosis Trust is the charity uniting people to stop cystic fibrosis.
Natalie wears her yellow vest as she runs her way through her roller coaster journey with CF, after last year reaching the CF milestone age of 40!
Natalie runs to represent all those living with CF, including her young son, and in particular the 10% not eligible for lifesaving modulator drugs such as Kaftrio.
Her positive role as a CF athlete spreads hope throughout the CF community, and inspires the next generation to live "a life unlimited"
Natalie was one of the first women to run a marathon with CF, and has since completed 27 half marathons and 3 marathons, with London 2024 being her 4th!
Positively unstoppable, let's get behind her and shout a little louder, so that one day, all those living with CF can live a life without limits.
Thank you for your support,
#TeamCF
