Team Cheese Thieves are playing games for Game Changers 2025 - a gaming marathon in aid of the Edinburgh Children's Hospital Charity (ECHC).

The charity goes above and beyond to support children and their families in Edinburgh's children’s hospital and the wider area.

My daughter Charlotte was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in spring 2019, at age 4, and we have seen first hand the amazing work that ECHC do. During over two years of treatment, we benefited from the support of volunteers on the ward providing crafts and activities, music and bed time stories. The charity also funds equipment and offers family initiatives like the Ward 2 (now Lochranza) sibling days we attended.

The charity has provided significant support for the Edinburgh Children’s Hospital, allowing children to be more relaxed, parents to stay the night next to their child, and by funding state of the art treatment options.

At last years Save Point 2024, we raised £5,332 - and this year we want to beat it!

The team name was chosen by Charlotte. As part of her treatment she received steroids, and one of the many side effects was increased appetite and cravings. She had woken many nights with a desire for all things cheese! She liked to think we were robbing the fridge late at night; hence Cheese Thieves!
