My name is Daisy and I’m in Class 6.

When I heard that the school and Friends of School were raising money for a new play area, I decided I wanted to help raise some money too. Although I will be leaving school in July, I’d still really like to help so that my younger sisters, their friends and other children can enjoy playing outside in the future.

I regularly take part in Junior Parkrun, which is 2k, so I have decided to challenge myself and train to run 5k and ask friends and family to sponsor me. I am hoping that lots of other children from school will join me so that together we can raise lots of money for the new play area.

The run will take place at 9am on Saturday 28 June at Rushcliffe Country Park Parkrun.

Friends of School are helping with the organisation for the run and will also be holding a cake sale at the end of Parkrun to raise more money for our play area. We would love it if you could come down and cheer us on and buy a cake or two!
