Thank you for visiting our JustGiving page! We are Team Grasmere, a passionate group of friends dedicated to supporting St Mary's Hospice in Ulverston. This February, we are excited to embark on our sixth annual Stepping Challenge, aiming to do 9,000 steps each day throughout the month.

Why 9,000 steps? Because when we started the challenge in 2021 it cost £9,000 per day to run the hospice. It now costs £15,000 per day. Don't worry, we're not expecting you to do 15,000 steps, and if 9,000 is too much for you set a lower target.

Don't want to step but want to support us? That's great! Please make a donation and give us your encouragement.

Anyone can join us in this inspiring journey—no need to live in Grasmere! Open to women, men, boys and girls everywhere.

We invite you to make a donation through this page. Last year the average donation was £30 but please just donate what you feel is right. Don’t forget to check the Gift Aid box if you are a taxpayer- this means we get an extra 25% from the government.

Once you've donated, lace up your walking shoes and step outside, or if the weather isn't cooperating, simply count your steps around your home and garden. You’ll be amazed at how quickly those steps add up!
