Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

My name is Ibrahim or as many know me as Ibby & I am the proud Captain of TeamIbby.

We have been fundraising for various local charities for nearly 6 years now especially supporting charities in Oldham the town I was born in & live in. As captain of TeamIbby I honestly can’t thank you all enough for all your incredible support.

I know many will ask Ibby why this year are we mainly fundraising for Northcare Charity with donations going to Oldham Paediatric A&E.

So having spent a lot of time in hospital as a young man dealing with a number of severe health conditions under Paediatric Team’s at various hospitals across Greater Manchester, but now that I am 18 it’s time to thank a very specific hospital department that cared for me so much when I was at my sickest & they also care for so many other young patients especially when we are really unwell or had an accident.

I can’t thank this fab departments enough that looked after me so much during my childhood, our Oldham Paediatric Accident & Emergency Department . I can’t thank the whole magnificent team enough for all the years of outstanding care .

So now it’s time to do something for them to thank them & also help young patients needing emergency care but especially those young patients with additional needs like children with Autism, learning difficulties, speech problems, sensory processing issues etc.

As a young man I know from experience how frightening it is going to Paediatric A&E but can you imagine what it’s like for a young person with additional needs & for their families.

So TeamIbby this year Insha allah (god willing) will be fundraising for the new Sensory Space in Oldham Paediatric A&E & help them by raising funds for essential equipment this space so urgently needs.

We will be doing various fundraisers hoping with your support we can raise our initial target of £1818 & then hope to build on that & hopefully raise £4,000 by the end of the year for Northcare Charity with every £ going to our Oldham Paediatric Accident & Emergency Department.

Please do support us as you never know when your child or loved one may need emergency care but especially for those families with children who have additional needs.

We are all blessed with this one life & helping others especially those who are suffering is what life is about & help them in anyway we can & as captain of TeamIbby your support means so much.

So please if you can donate what you can to help us hit our target & help our wonderful NHS Oldham Paediatric A&E Department as every £ will make a difference but especially to young patients with additional needs, needing emergency care.

Thank you to everyone who helped us hit our initial target of £1818. It would mean so much to hit this £4,000 target for children with additional needs requiring emergency care. So please keep donating.

Thank you so much for reading this & your fab support.
