This September, the five of us – Ray Sherrard, Alison Emslie, Caitlyn Emslie, Cameron Walker and Stephen Sherrard– are taking on a challenge to raise money for a cause that has become incredibly close to our hearts. Ray will be running the Loch Ness Marathon, while Alison, Caitlyn and Cameron will be running the River Ness 10K. Stephen will run the Belfast Titanic 10K.

We are fundraising for ASTRO, a charity dedicated to researching low-grade gliomas – the specific type of brain tumour that our beautiful Isabella Sherrard is currently battling.

Izzy was diagnosed in December 2024, and since then she has shown incredible strength and courage through 3 brain surgeries and different chemotherapy treatments.

For many of these tumours which cannot be removed by surgery, decades old chemotherapy drugs are still the only treatment for children. They have many undesirable side effects and no guarantee of success.

Every donation to Astro, no matter how big or small, helps fund research into potential new treatments for children.
