Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Our son, brother, & friend, Jacob Scanlon was recently diagnosed with a brain tumour. It is a benign acoustic neuroma. Acoustic Neuroma (AN) are life changing. He had a 13 hour neuro surgical operation in September. This has left him with single sided permanent deafness. People with AN often suffer with facial palsy, balance issues, dizziness, tinnitus & fatigue.
The British Acoustic Neuroma Association (BANA), helps support people living with AN & their significant others by providing advice, guidance & support groups, which can be a lifeline for many dealing with this rare brain tumour.
Claire FS (mum), Chloe Shaw (sister) Jon Shaw (bother in law), Alex Stell (best mate) Natalie Michael & Jamie Dann (close friends) are running the Bournemouth half marathon helping to raise money for BANA, to enable them to continue the vital work they do. Claire swam a half marathon over 4 consecutive days in Aug as injuries during training were hampering the running…..she’s back on track now though! If you can spare a few £’s to show your support & keep us going we would be very appreciative.
