AJ Bell Great Scottish Run 10K 2025 · 5 October 2025 · Start fundraising for this event

Formed in 1988, CCST is an entirely voluntary charity. Its 'Therapet' service involves registered dogs and their owners visiting hospitals, nursing homes, schools and other institutions on a regular basis to provide ‘pet therapy’, restore confidence and bring happiness to everyone they encounter.

Story

Jin and I are raising money for Therapet can you help us?

Update - Jin is joining in and doing the 5k Waggy Tail Dog Walk in Irvine at the end of the month! Wish her luck :-)!!

It's that time of year when in an attempt to motivate myself to keep running I book the Glasgow 10k and try to raise a few pounds for charity at the same time. This year I am hoping you will help me support Canine Concern Scotland who manage Therapet, which enables Jin and many other dogs across the country to visit places like hospitals, care homes and schools to spread some cheer.

They are just a small charity so every penny will really count. So please give what you can, and help by passing this page onto others.

And wish me luck as despite the wonderful weather it has been a horrible year for running (too hot, too wet, too windy - too just not into running :-)!! So I won't be expecting any PB's on the day, but hopefully there will be some dogs there to cheer me up on the way round the course!

Thanks for reading, Claire & Jin x
