#TeamJulie will be running Cardiff Half Marathon this October in support of my mum Julie, who is living with Motor Neurone Disease. We are a group of 20 people, all on a mission to raise as much money as possible, to find a cure for this terminal illness.

Anyone who knows Julie will know of her infectious laugh, love for life and energetic embrace. Her effortless ability to fill the room with joy, warmth and fun, radiating happiness wherever she went. Devastatingly, this disease has taken her ability to move, talk, eat and communicate away, she can no longer laugh, smile or give you a cwtch. She now spends her days unable to interact with the world around her. It’s heart breaking to witness the toll MND has taken on her, and it’s a reality that no one should have to face.

But we're not just running for my mum. We're running for everyone affected by MND—those who are fighting it and the families who are living through this painful experience.

This is why I’m asking for your support. Every donation, no matter how small, will help fund vital research, raise awareness, and provide essential services to those who need it most. The MNDA is working hard to find a cure, and your generosity can make a difference.

Funds will be donated to the Cardiff and Vale Branch of the MND Association and will be used to help local people living with MND and help fund national research into funding a cure.
