In Loving Memory of Scott Ladley – Our Dad, Our Hero

This Father’s Day, we couldn’t think of anything more fitting than taking on the Bubble Rush in memory of the incredible Scott Ladley – our much-loved Dad, Partner, Brother, and Friend. Scott would’ve absolutely loved it – the chaos, the laughter, the bubbles… it’s got him written all over it. 🥰

Scott was one of a kind – full of laughter, kindness, and heart. He was the kind of person who made everyone feel welcome, lit up every room, and would do anything for the people he loved. Losing him left a huge hole in our lives, but we’re proud to carry his spirit with us in everything we do.

In his final days, Hospice St Francis cared for Scott with such compassion, dignity, and love. It was his last chapter – and yet it was filled with visits from friends, love, laughter, and even a cheeky flirt with the nurses whenever he could! 😄 So many people came to see him, we had to move him into a bigger room 🤣

But what struck us was how quiet the hospice was – not because it wasn’t needed, but because so many of the rooms were empty due to a lack of funding. That hit hard.

Their care didn’t stop when Scott passed. They’re still supporting us now – even visiting the children at school to help them grieve, understand, and carry their dad’s memory forward with love and pride. That kind of care is priceless.

So this Father’s Day, Team Ladders – Martina, Conor, Darcey, Harper, Stayce, Gareth, Sarah, Harry & Louie – will be running, walking, and laughing our way through the Bubble Rush, surrounded by bubbles and memories of Scott. It’s exactly the kind of joyful madness he would’ve wanted.
