Leo N, Leo P, and Luca P are running for a cause close to our hearts: Wallace & Gromit’s Grand Appeal.

This is the official charity for Bristol Children’s Hospital, where both Leo N and Luca P have been cared for by the brilliant specialists.

Leo N was born with multiple heart conditions and underwent life-saving open-heart surgery at just seven days old, spending his first two months on the cardiac ward. He will need further surgery in the future. His sister, Adley, was born with all her major organs in her chest and also spent two months in NICU. Today, both are bravely navigating life with the support of the dedicated teams at Bristol Children’s Hospital.

Luca P had a PEG tube fitted by Mr Ross and team last September to help treat gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GORD). He is now thriving. The fact that he can even take part in this race is huge news, and credit to the medical teams in Bristol, Bath and London, and also the wonderful team at Chandag Primary School.

It was Leo P’s idea to run and raise money in aid of a charity that continues to support his brother, his friend, Leo N’s sister, and many other children in our community. Leo N and Luca P wanted to join the cause, so the friends have united to become Team Leos & Luca!
