Story
This September I will be taking on the Ironman 70.3 Weymouth, UK challenge raising money for the incredible charity Parkinson's UK. 💙💪
The biggest test I’ve ever set myself.
1.2 MILE SWIM + 56 MILE BIKE + 13.1 MILE RUN 🏊🏻🚴♀️🏃♀️
My dad was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Dementia Disease (PDD) in 2024, and since then I’ve seen firsthand how tough this disease can be not only physically, but mentally as well. Before Parkinson’s, my dad was a builder, water skier, and spent weekends mountain biking. While the disease has taken those things, he’s adapted. Becoming an avid gardener and learning to enjoy the small wins that come with a slower pace of life.
My family is one of thousands affected by this cruel disease which is the fastest growing neurological condition in the world, and there’s currently no cure. Parkinson’s UK are doing incredible work to change that. Funding life changing research, providing vital support to those affected and their families and campaigning for better care.💙
So, I’ll be swimming cycling and running my way around Weymouth this September to raise as much as I can for this incredible charity. Every donation, big or small, will make a real difference and move us closer to a world without Parkinson's.
“Every mile for something bigger than me.”
Please note Parkinson's UK will be funding the race fee entry cost for Ironman.
