Story
This year I’m running two half marathons in support of Angels United, as part of Loss to Legacy for Poppy & Dottie. Why two half marathons? Because I am not crazy enough to do another full one yet, unless someone would like to give me a London Marathon Place.
31st May 2026 Great Manchester Run
4th October 2026 Manchester Half Marton
Two half marathons, a few other challenges between them all to raise fund for Angels United and continue to build the legacy of Poppy & Dottie.
Angels United is more than a football club. It’s a place where people who are carrying grief, loss, and life’s heaviest moments find support, understanding, and belonging. It turns difficult chapters into connection, purpose, and community. For the last 5 years Angels has been my support, its helped me and Katie through some of the darkest of times and I have felt the impact first hand but also seen the impact it has had on people on and off the pitch. I am proud to be one of the cofounders, the charity chair of this incredible group and have seen how it’s not just changed lives but saved them. All money raised will be used by Angels United to support the next family that reaches out and continue to do the work they do for bereaved parents.
Since Poppy and Dottie were born I have always looked for ways to test myself both physically and mentally, to turn loss into legacy and to carry their names with me every step of the way. legacy is about love that doesn’t end and impact that continues.
Every contribution, no matter the size, means something.
Every share helps the story travel further.
Every step I run is for them.
