Story
Fifteen years ago, we realised that our mum Scilla had the earliest signs of Alzheimer's Disease. We've been very lucky in having access to knowledge, research, and resources that have helped to keep her relatively healthy and happy, despite the inevitable progression of the disease.
We've challenged ourselves to the 26 mile Stonehenge walk to raise money for the Alzheimer's Society because they do such important work supporting others. Click here to see how your donation will help people with dementia and their carers, as well as funding vital research.
We're all a bit nervous about walking this far, but we are inspired by the Scilla ideology, which is that almost anything is possible and even when it isn't, there are still reasons to be cheerful. This approach to life continues to carry her through her experience with dementia, and hopefully it will carry us through to the finishing post!
