IPSEA offers free and independent legally based information, advice and support services to help get the right education for children and young people with all kinds of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

The struggle facing thousands of families of children and young people with SEND can take years to resolve and often has a devastating effect on children and their families, so the advice and support IPSEA provides is vital.

Over the years, we have used IPSEA to seek legal advice on education, and through their support, we successfully applied for and obtained an EHCP for Joseph.

As parents we shouldn't have to rely on charities like IPSEA to get the support our children need but are very grateful that they exist.

Joseph really struggles with physical activity and general mobility, but he has indicated that he would like to try a 5k race. Parallel is an inclusive event with the motto "start together, finish whenever" and it's a perfect opportunity for him to have a go with no pressure to finish by a certain time.
