Team Tantrum's Marathon Walk for Blood Cancer UK

Jurassic Coast Challenge 2025 · 17 May 2025 to 18 May 2025 ·
My amazing dad, a well-known, respected, and beloved member of the Marine Industry, received an unexpected terminal diagnosis of Acute Myelomonocytic Leukemia at the end of May 2024. This devastating news shattered all of us, and sadly, he lost his short, valiant battle 7 weeks after. Throughout his illness, we all admired his unwavering positivity and drive to fight right to the end.
Before he passed he chose Blood Cancer UK as his supported charity, as he wanted his and other blood cancers to get greater visibility and understanding, therefore, hopefully signs of a cure in the future.
Dad was an absolute hero, and truly did carry us on his already heavy shoulders through his illness. His strength has given me so much drive to push my limits.
With this in mind, I decided to take on the opportunity of walking a Marathon with the Jurassic Coast Challenge in May. It will be an honour to complete this in his memory.
I won't be doing this alone! My incredible friend Holly will be joining me. Together we are forming "Team Tantrum", paying homage to Bill and Marianne's dream Caribbean Country Cottage where Bill spent his last 4 winters living in paradise.
We would be so grateful for any support received ❤️
