Story
❤️ A cause very close to my heart.
Last October, my dad suffered a stroke, and seeing first-hand the impact it can have on someone and their family has been truly life-changing.
Since then, I’ve had the opportunity to speak with some incredible people working in the stroke care and research industry, and it’s made me realise just how important this work really is.
Every year, around 100,000 people in the UK experience a stroke, making it one of the leading causes of death and disability.
But what really struck me is that so many strokes could potentially be prevented.
Researchers at the University of Plymouth are working on an incredible project using brain scans, medical records and artificial intelligence to help identify people at greater risk of having a stroke — potentially years before it happens.
The hope is simple: earlier detection, better prevention and improved patient care.
Having watched my dad go through this, I would love to do something positive and help support research that could make a real difference to people’s lives.
Because behind every stroke survivor is a family whose world has changed too. ❤️
If we can help prevent even one family from going through what so many of us have experienced, that’s something worth fighting for.
Every donation, no matter how small, can help support this important research.
Thank you for your support. ❤️
