Story

On 12 April 2026, 21 fantastic runners will make up Team Tommy for the London Landmarks Half Marathon on Sunday 12 April. All money raised will be for Fight for Sight’s Tommy Salisbury Fund and used for medical research projects into finding a treatment for Choroideremia.

For those of you who don't know Tommy Salisbury was diagnosed with this rare genetic condition at the age of 4. Since then family, friends and other sufferers have been on a mission to change his future, raising over £840,000 so far and funding many studies that have already led to three clinical trials.

Choroideremia is a rare, inherited X-linked genetic eye disorder that causes progressive vision loss, leading to blindness, primarily affecting men.

Tommy's Fund is currently supporting a new study and there is hope that this will lead to a final clinical trial and a treatment that will save the sight of many young men.

Please help the Salisbury’s and Team Tommy on this journey by supporting our individual runners or as a team for the Landmarks Half Marathon.
