I have had the best job in the world for five years, working with the most amazing group of volunteers who make such a huge difference to children's lives by spending time with them every week supporting their reading journeys and building up their confidence.

Every week I get to witness magic moments like shy children trusting a volunteer enough to choose a book for the first time, the looks of incredulation when they suddenly realise that they can read something they couldn't before and the joy of a child telling you all about a book they loved reading.

I want to celebrate my 5 years by walking 5 miles handing out books as we go and raising money so that as a charity we can work with more children, create more magic moments and support more amazing volunteers who do so much.
