Story
To mark the year in which our gorgeous boy, Jacob, would have turned 10, I (Jacob’s Daddy, Mark) attempted my 3rd ever completion of the Lakeland 50 on Saturday 25th July …
My first two L50’s were done back in 2012 and 2015 - and in 2022 a joint attempt with Ness ended at Ambleside, after 35 miles, with a partial tear of Ness’s right ankle ligament.
This time I’m happy to report that I finished - in just under 14 and a half hours - and received the best ever welcoming hugs from Ness and Hope in Coniston! 😍
I’ve added a couple of pictures to the gallery - and my training is summarised below. It’s been quite an adventure …
Hopefully you’ll be inspired enough to donate to Jacob's Special Named Fund with the CCLG.
Thank you for all of the donations to date - we have collectively smashed my target. x
