Moonlight Marathon over Cannock Chase · 16 August 2024

It's bewildering and unsettling for anyone going into hospital but especially for children and that is why we are a fundraising hospital. We raise funds to enhance the experience of our patients by providing state of the art medical equipment and facilities and creating a child-friendly environment.

Story

In 2023, we embarked on a Moonlight Marathon over Cannock Chase in aid of South Staffordshire Network for Mental Health. This year, we're taking on the same challenge for Birmingham Children's Hospital, but there's a twist.

This time, we'll be split into two groups and will race each other to the finish line - just for a bit of added competition. Group A will go clockwise around the circular route, and Group B will go anti-clockwise.

When you donate and add your message, you can guess which team will come in first place.

Group A consists of:

Team leader (and marathon runner), Lewis Lydiard, plus Dan Hemans, Dan Gough, Emily Keeling & Jennah Crewe.

Group B consists of:

Team leader (and keen pub crawler), Paul Bradshaw, plus Andy Newbrook, Jamie Dorrance, Karl Frankham, Tim Hepworth, and Oliver Aleksejuk.
