Story
This March, I’ll be cycling the full Lon Las Cymru route, from Holyhead to Cardiff, in one continuous ride.
That’s roughly 400 kilometres of Welsh mountains, valleys, and coastlines — powered only by two legs, two wheels, and a lot of determination.
I’m doing this to raise money for 'AndysManClub' , a charity that helps men across the UK open up about their mental health.
Every week, Andy’s Man Club runs free, nationwide support groups where men can talk, listen, and realise they’re not alone. Their work saves lives — but they rely entirely on donations to keep those doors open.
I’ve seen how hard it can be for men to talk about what they’re going through. This ride is my way of starting conversations, showing support, and reminding people that it’s okay to talk.
My goal:
I’m aiming to raise £1,000 to support Andy’s Man Club and help them reach even more men who need a safe space to talk.
ANDYSMANCLUB run peer-to-peer support groups for men aged 18+ going through storms in their lives, every Monday at 7 pm excluding bank holidays. Clubs are free to attend with no registration required.
The group was founded after the death by suicide of Andy Roberts. Andy gave no indication to his family that he was suicidal, as a result, his brother-in-law, Luke Ambler, and mother, Elaine Roberts, founded ANDYSMANCLUB in the hope that men who struggled to open up had a safe space to do so.
