Story
As part of my Bronze DofE activities, I will be raising money for Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY). Preventing young sudden cardiac deaths through awareness, screening and research, and supporting affected families.
My challenge is to walk, run and peddle 183.4 miles – the same as seven London marathons – between 01 to 31 March. I will be keeping a daily record of the miles I have done and will keep my page updated on my progress.
My grandad worked with CRY for many years raising lots of money, and he also completed his Gold DofE.
I will be grateful for any donation you can make.
Thank you
Ted
More about CRY
Every week in the UK at least 12 apparently fit and healthy young people die of undiagnosed cardiac conditions.
With your donation, CRY can reduce the frequency of young sudden cardiac death (YSCD) by working with cardiologists and family doctors to establish good practice and appropriate screening facilities to promote and protect the cardiac health of our young.
By supporting CRY you will help save young lives from these potentially fatal cardiac conditions.
