Ted's 150 miles

Edward Reader is raising money for St. Andrew's Community Network

150 mile walk across North Wales

We work to provide a range of holistic and practical services to support local families and disadvantaged people in inner city Liverpool. We support some of the most vulnerable in our area, and hope to move people from a position of crisis and vulnerability, towards stability and life fulfilment.

Story

Hello! My name’s Edward I’m 10 years old, and from Liverpool.

Starting in January 2026, I’ll be walking a total of 150 miles along the Wales Coast Path to raise money for the North Liverpool Foodbank Network.

Over the first few months of 2026, I’ll be undertaking a number of walks of around 15–20 miles, over a number of weekends — probably through rain, wind, and Welsh mud! — until I reach my total of 150 miles. I am doing this to help families in my community who are struggling to afford food.

This will be the 3rd walking fundraiser I have done for this cause having already raised almost £6,500, but I think it is important to keep the funds coming in. By doing more than one walk over a longer time, it will give people more time to donate (and maybe even donate more than once.)

The North Liverpool Foodbank Network, part of the Trussell Trust, provides emergency food, support, and hope to people across our city. In 2024–25 alone, the network supported over 20,000 people, including 7,000 children, with essential food parcels and advice during times of crisis.

I want to do my bit to make sure they can keep helping families who need it most.

This will be my third time walking for the foodbank network. So far I've raised almost £6500 but I want to carry on doing something that will make people’s lives better. No one should have to go hungry, so I’m walking to help.

You can help me by:

🌟 Donating whatever you can — every pound makes a difference.

🌟 Sharing my challenge with your friends and family.

🌟 Following my journey as I post updates from each section of the walk!

Together, we can make sure no one in Liverpool has to face hunger alone.

Thank you so much for your support
