Story

***We reached target of £2000 which is amazing so we have added stretch target of £4000 ***

Teddington RNLI Station opened in 2002, and is one of the RNLI's newest lifeboat stations, covering the River Thames between Richmond and Molesey Locks. Last year, Teddington’s lifeboats launched on service 96 times to assist people in distress on our patch. This achievement was made possible by the dedication of our volunteers at Teddington who work tirelessly to keep our local community safe.

The RNLI is funded by voluntary contributions and we need your support to keep this vital service in place here at Teddington.

As part of the RNLI's 200 year celebrations in 2024, we are organising a special fund raising event called the Teddington Lock Island Run. On the 21st of June 2024, starting at 6pm Teddington RNLI volunteers, friends and family, will attempt to walk or run an impressive 200 kilometres in 24 hours, by completing solo laps of the Lock Island as a relay team. Needing to cover 8.4km an hour, we don't underestimate the challenge we have set ourselves!

We have set a target of raising £2000, which will go towards the funding of a new launch vehicle at Teddington Lifeboat Station.

Please support us as we undertake this challenge!
