My name is Teddy. I am 6 and on the 9th May me and my friends ran the Mini Great Bristol Run. My team is called Teddy’s Starlight Striders!

In November 2025 doctors found that my little sister Lucia had a brain tumour. My sister had to have three operations and then had to spend almost 8 months as an inpatient having chemotherapy in the Starlight Ward in the hospital. I wanted to help my Mummy and Daddy to raise lots of money for The Starlight Ward as they looked after my sister and were always so kind to me when I came to visit. With the help of my friends, we raised over £14,000!

To help us raise as much money as possible, other people have also helped us to raise money. My Auntie Sadie ran the Bath Two Tunnels half marathon, my Grampy Nigel held a race night, family friend Sarah Boulton walked 100 miles in April and my Mummy and Daddy’s friends, Wes and Sami ran the Bristol 10k. Together we have now raised over £30,000 for the Grand Appeal!
